"I've been the person called in when projects fail, systems break, or knowledge is lost."
The person behind the jargon.
Jack Adams — Technical Producer at JABA, and founder of JABAJACK IT.

before launch
I've been working with technology since I was young enough to take a computer apart — and put it back together.
Most of my career has been spent at JABA — a web design, PWA development, and digital agency operating since 2000. Over that time I've worked across nearly every layer of delivery: production, project management, technical implementation, application design, infrastructure, and client strategy.
My current role is Technical Producer. In practice, that means I operate at the junction of business intent, technical architecture, and delivery — taking vague or mis-scoped ideas and turning them into systems that are actually deployed, stable, and usable.
What I've delivered
- Custom web applications (client-owned, live in production)
- AI-assisted internal tools and client-facing platforms
- Infrastructure migrations — hosting, DNS, email systems
- E-commerce platforms and integrations
- Recovery work on failing or abandoned projects
A significant portion of my work starts as "something's broken", "we don't know how this works anymore", or "the last developer disappeared" — and escalates into full system reconstruction.
What I do differently
Small businesses consistently get poor outcomes from IT and web providers:
- Enterprise IT won't engage without scale or lock-in contracts
- Agencies ship and disappear
- Critical knowledge sits in one person's head — then leaves
JABAJACK IT exists to fix that model. One point of contact. Full-stack visibility from infrastructure to application to user. Backed by real experience and a real agency, not a solo operator guessing.
JABAJACK IT
JABAJACK IT is structured around a simple principle: own the whole system, or problems fall through the gaps.
I cover:
- IT operations — Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, email delivery, security
- Web infrastructure — DNS, hosting, routing, reverse proxy
- Application delivery — PWAs, custom tools, integrations
- Technical recovery and stabilisation
- Ongoing advisory and systems design
Where needed, I extend through the JABA team — developers, designers, SEO, and production — without handing you off or losing continuity.
Track record
- Technical Producer at JABA
- Managed delivery across 200+ active clients
- Built and deployed multiple client-owned web applications
- Large-scale custom B2B application currently in production
- Led teams across dev, SEO, design, and infrastructure
- Profit-focused delivery in challenging operating conditions
- Full operational ownership across extended periods of reduced leadership
Hands-on across
How I work
Five principles that govern every engagement.
Plain language
If it's not understood, it's not finished. Technical concepts explained clearly — always.
Scope first
Defined work before execution. No ambiguity, no drift, no surprise invoices.
Document everything
Credentials, systems, decisions — nothing lives only in my head. You always know what was done and why.
No lock-in
Systems are handed over cleanly. You are never dependent on me to operate your own technology.
Direct about limits
If something is outside scope or not my area, I'll say so and point you to the right solution.
Typical engagements
You're probably a good fit if any of these sound familiar:
- Business with broken or unreliable systems
- Agency-built site that no one can maintain
- Email deliverability or DNS issues affecting operations
- Need for a custom internal tool or workflow system
- Migration away from legacy or misconfigured infrastructure
- "The last IT person left and no one knows the passwords"
- "We need someone to just keep things running"
What I don't cover
Being clear about limits is part of how I work:
- Residential / home IT support
- On-site support outside Adelaide and surrounds
- Low-budget templated brochure sites where an off-the-shelf platform is the right answer (I'll tell you if that's the case)
- 24/7 on-call or emergency SOC services
JABA Web Design — est. 2000
JABAJACK IT operates through JABA — one of Australia's longest-running digital agencies, with experience across government, enterprise, and small business.
You work directly with Jack, with access to the broader team when required — without losing continuity or context. You don't get handed off. You don't re-explain your project.
JABA's track record, portfolio, and institutional credibility are the foundation every JABAJACK IT engagement is built on.
